Legal
Cookie Policy
How Down The Cove uses cookies and similar browser storage on the storefront and admin systems.
Last reviewed for the new platform launch. The business should confirm final legal wording before going live.
- The current platform uses necessary cookies and browser storage for account, cart, checkout, CMS, admin, security, and affiliate attribution features.
- Analytics and advertising cookies are not loaded by default in the current codebase.
- If non-essential tracking is added later, cookie consent controls should be added before those tools load.
Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies and similar storage keep customers signed in, maintain cart and checkout state, protect admin sessions, remember security state, and keep requested affiliate discounts attached to eligible carts.
These cookies are required for the store, checkout, returns, CMS, and admin workflows to work correctly.
Payments And Checkout
Stripe may use cookies or similar technology when loading secure payment forms, fraud checks, wallet payment methods, and checkout authentication. Payment card data is handled by Stripe and is not stored by Down The Cove.
Analytics And Marketing
The current platform does not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar non-essential tracking scripts by default.
If the business adds analytics, remarketing, heatmaps, or advertising pixels later, these should be documented here and loaded only after the correct consent is collected.
Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, cart, checkout, return request, CMS, or admin features from working correctly.
